If you ask me about the weather, I’ll tell you it’s still very much summer. When I step outside, I break a sweat before the first mosquito even has a chance to rob me of my blood. It’s undeniably hot. While I’m not one to wish away summer, I’d be lying if I said I’m not already dreaming of autumn.

Autumn feels like a reset after the laid-back, slow days of summer. I truly love summer— kisses from the sun, endless days with our feet in the grass. But I always seem to get a fresh wave of inspiration around this time of year when the new season is approaching. And while I’m no basic bitch, I do have a soft spot for a pumpkin spice latte too (from a local coffee shop, of course). Getting dressed for crisp, cool weather gives me space for creativity and to express myself in new and fun ways. I’m eagerly anticipating cozy layers, rich textures, and deeper, moodier tones that come with the season. But even though it’s clearly still summer, my mind is firmly set on my autumn wardrobe. So, naturally, I made a moodboard.

Before I leave you with the moodboard I’ve put together, I want to remind you that you do not have to shop for fall to embrace the season.
